Central to our desire to "pamper" you is Najma Ahmed, our resident hostess, whose sole job is to look after our guests. From welcoming them when they arrive, to organising their activities, creating menus according to guest preference - with fresh bread, cakes and cookies baked on a daily basis, she is also there to sit with them in the afternoons and evenings and tell them stories about life on a tea plantation, where she spent her entire married life. We hope you enjoy her delicious cooking and her delightful company during your stay. She will join you at most meals, and accompany you on some of the walks and activities – but do feel free to request time on your own as well. She will not take offence!
At some point during your stay you will also meet our charming Tea Estate manager, Sanjay Sharma, his wife Neilu and their gorgeous doggies Elsa, Jimmy and Naughty. Neilu is an integral part of our team as she assists Najma with our guests, especially with the micromanaging of all the tiny details that make your stay as special as possible. She is also the main point of contact for our Welfare Program and the Glenburn Shop.
Sanjay is also our resident birding expert and fishing guide, so do catch hold of him for information in any of these areas, above and beyond of course, his expert knowledge on anything to do with tea! Please bear with us if he is unavailable at any time. He has a huge responsibility running the entire estate with it's one thousand workers! The Tea Tour will be conducted by either Sanjay or his able assistant Uday Kumar, who also does an excellent job!
The Glenburn Staff are available round the clock, to help make your stay with us a comfortable one. Bells are located on most switchboards in the rooms and common areas.
